Manufacturing of damper systems.

For the smaller dampers, we design and manufacture the damper system in our factory. In some cases we manufacture the damper system in close co-operation with the customer. This is to avoid high transport costs of the damper mass and housing of the damper system. In this case we will make the calculations and design of the damper system including the 3D drawings of the system which can be implemented into the workshop drawings, after the workshop drawings have been checked , we will deliver the special damper part.

Design check in drawing phase

Many engineers are not familiar with the effects of vortex shedding and make use of our expertise in this area. After receiving the design data and drawings of a structure and the environmental factors, we can calculate if additional damping is necessary.

Analyzing vibrations in existing structures

If a structure is built and there are unwanted/unexpected vibrations caused by wind, waves or other dynamic loads, we can examine the conditions, measure the vibrations, and successively offer a solution that reduces the movements to an acceptable level.

Because most structures are unique in shape and size, Flow Engineering make the design of the damper system in a virtual three dimensional environment to avoid surprises during installation. The shape and dimensions of the damper system depends on the structure and the wishes of the client. Special attention in the design is that the system is easy to install and service.

Installation damper systems

For the smaller damper systems Flow Engineering can take care of the installation of the damper system onsite. For the damper systems which are manufactured in cooperation with owner/builder we can assist at the installation of the damper system.

Maintenance and monitoring of damper systems

To ensure economical lifecycle functioning of the damper systems we can monitor and maintain the damper systems on a contract base.
